Blues Harp Shuffle by Walter Horton Big Walter Horton 1964 Harmonica Tabs Song in Key of F Harmonica- Bb in 2nd position, Walter Horton known as Big Walter (Horton) or Walter "Shakey" Horton. (April 6, 1921 – December 8, 1981), Big Walter Horton recorded "Blues Harp Shuffle" in 1964, as part of the compilation album The Soul of Blues Harmonica released by Argo Records. The track is also featured on the Lost Blues Tapes / More American Folk Blues Festival 1963-65 collection. Big Walter Horton was a true master of Chicago blues. His harmonica playing possessed an unbelievable sound that incorporated a chilling vibrato, swooping phrases and a bell-like tonality. Though a fine singer, his role on many recordings was that of an accompanist. Willie Dixon once called Horton 'the best harmonica player I ever heard'.
