It is surrounded by the state of Brandenburg, and contiguous with Potsdam, Brandenburg's capital. The two cities are at the center of the Berlin-Brandenburg capital region, which is Germany's third-largest metropolitan region after the Rhine-Ruhr and Rhine-Main regions. Berlin straddles the banks of the River Spree, which flows into the River Havel in the western borough of Spandau. Among the city's main topographical features are the many lakes in the western and southeastern boroughs. Boxhagener Platz, popularly known as the Boxi, serves as the central recreational area, meeting place, children's playground and marketplace in the neighbourhood. I am starting this walk close to the Weberwiese Station in Friedrichshain then walking along the Karl-Marx Allee until I reach the Frankfurter Tor(Frankfurt Gate). I will then show you a few nice streets until I reach the Boxhagener Platz(Boxi). I hope you can relax and enjoy this beautiful walking tour.
