Heatwave in Minho: Civil Protection Issues Important Warning to the Population The high temperatures being felt throughout the country, and very intensely in the Minho region, require extra care from the population. Verde Minho Television spoke with the Municipal Coordinator of Civil Protection of Braga, Vítor Azevedo, who offers a set of essential recommendations to face this heatwave safely. Maintaining good hydration, avoiding sun exposure during the hottest hours, wearing light and cool clothing, and especially protecting children, the elderly, and more vulnerable people are some of the advice given by the official. Civil Protection also asks the population to avoid risky behaviors, namely the burning of vegetation or the use of equipment that could cause ignitions, at a time when the risk of rural fires is very high.
