Things WILL Break on Lost Trail... (Owyhee Mountains BOH)

Is it really about the Badge, or the people you earn it with? 🏜️🤝 Today we’re deep in the Owyhee Mountains of Idaho to tackle one of the newest additions to the Jeep Badge of Honor program: Lost Trail. This isn't your average desert cruise. The Owyhees are famous for their sharp volcanic rock, narrow "pinstripe" washes, and terrain that doesn't just test your rig—it tests your resolve. We went into this day expecting a challenge, and the trail definitely delivered. We pushed the "Baby Jeep" to its limits, dealt with some trail-side "surprises," and reminded ourselves why we carry a full toolkit. 🛠️ But as much as we love earning that new badge, this trip reminded us of a bigger truth: The best part of any trail isn't the obstacle you conquered; it’s the people who stood in the dust with you to make sure you made it through. Whether you’re here for the technical lines of the Owyhee Front or just to see what happens when things go sideways, we’re glad you’re part of the crew. Let’s get lost! In this video: Navigating the sharp volcanic ledges of the Owyhees. A "Badge of Honor" breakdown: What to expect on Lost Trail. The "Baby Jeep" vs. Idaho’s tightest technical squeezes. Handling trail-side breaks with an amazing crew. Is Lost Trail the hardest BOH in Idaho? Trail Stats & Info: Location: Murphy, Idaho (Owyhee Front) Difficulty: Moderate (Expect ledges 12"–36" and tight vegetation) Must-Haves: High clearance, skid plates, and a reliable spotter.
