Studio Vlog: Final painting of 2024 from start to finish - ASMR Edition

Once again, the year is winding down to a close. This year felt like it went by shockingly fast. I have been racking my brain trying to get the theme together for next year's woodblock prints as I am trying to deviate from only making reproductions, and begin to move into originals. However, finding myself trapped in a metal fog, I decided to take some time out to just paint for myself... and for you all I suppose. This time it is just a simple study of a landscape completed over the course of a couple hours. I don't paint as much as I should these days, but I still always enjoy returning to it. The sounds of the studio are still familiar, but differ so much from the sounds that printmaking produces. So too does the end result differ. I am hoping to bring a little more of the actual painting style into my prints in the new year, so please keep an eye out! I am going to try to change things up again in the new year. .
