✨ ITS CRAFT FAIR SEASON! ✨ Let me tell you about the market that had EVERYTHING going wrong 😅 The Setup: A monthly outdoor market at a brewery — 4th Sunday every month, May through September. It only lasted TWO months before they pulled the plug for the rest of the year 🚫 The Numbers (brace yourself): 5 hours long 10 transactions total 14 items sold $324.50 in sales Booth fee was $50 + 10% commission My goal was already LOW at $500 (I usually aim for $150/hour MINIMUM) What Went Wrong: Brewery usually has 3-hour Sunday waitlists — this Sunday? Dead silent 🦗 Tents were literally FLYING from the wind 🪁 Coordinators were great though — they refunded everyone's commission and came around for vendor feedback They felt so bad they cancelled the remaining 3 months of the event The Silver Lining: The coordinators genuinely cared. They listened to vendors, refunded what they could, and made the hard call instead of dragging out a failing event. I'd work with them again in a heartbeat 💛 Sometimes markets just flop.
