Farewell To The Hebridean Isles

With the arrival of new vessels on the horizon for the Calmac network sadly this of course leads to the departure of some loved favourites, and sadly it as Hebridean Isles that is the first to go. After her withdrawal was announced I had planned to get one last sailing on her on her longest served route from Kennacraig to Islay, however after these plans got foiled thanks to the ever lasting problems with the Caledonian Isles and with Isle of Arran having to go for overhaul Hebridean Isles was moved from Islay to Arran meaning it was a hastily planned trip down to Troon for one last sailing on her. As a final sailing goes it couldn't have been better, joined by many enthusiasts also wanting one last sail on her and with the sun setting over Arran on the return journey it was a fantastic way for bidding farewell to such a well loved vessel.
