If you would like to be on the grid at SRi, why not head to our official Discord?   / discord   Today marks the pre-season event for Season 13 of the SimRacing International (SRi) of the SimRacing International (SRi) GT3 Championship as brought to you on iRacing with this broadcast focused on Split B. We shall be taking a look back at all of the racing action from Thursday 25th June, bringing it to you as if it were live! With only a week to go before we get the latest instalment of our much loved GT3 series underway, we welcome you to join us for this pre-season shakedown. Whilst no points are up for grabs, it gives our competitors an opportunity to gain an initial gauge of their pace versus their rivals. Additionally, we shall bring you up to speed this season’s key changes. Speaking of which, the biggest change of them all is the reversion to our A & B Split format, and therefore our four driver classes with ELITE and PRO in Split A, and PREMIER and CLUB in Split B. It means everyone shall race with the same ruleset albeit with some minor revisions to the incident point limits. Additionally, this season shall see our Sprint round format replaced with a 90 minute Endurance race, with the longer races offering up even more opportunities to pursue victory through strategy! As for our choice of venue for this event, we have decided to head to Japan for the lesser known and arguably underappreciated Mobility Resort Motegi. Opened in 1997 by Honda Motor Company with the aim of improving their understanding of American open-wheel racing, this 2.98 mile circuit’s unique blend of short straights and hairpins with minimal elevation change give it a “stop-start” feel making it equally tough on brakes and tyres.
