In this episode, we’re heading deep into the heart of the Arrochar Alps for an unforgettable Scottish adventure — the climb up Ben Arthur, better known as The Cobbler. Our journey begins in Succoth, a quiet village nestled near Arrochar, where we lace up our walking shoes and set off through a sweltering woodland trail. The air is thick, the sun is blazing, and the path zigzags steeply upwards through dense forest. As we emerge into the open glen beneath Ben Narnain, we’re greeted with sweeping views and hillsides carpeted in vibrant purple heather. With the sun beating down, I test out a cooling towel gifted to me by my wife — and trust me, it couldn’t have come at a better time. Then it’s onwards and upwards as we tackle the steep, rocky ascent of Ben Arthur itself. But reaching the summit isn't just a matter of elevation — it’s a test of nerve. To stand on The Cobbler’s true summit, you must perform a bold move known as "Threading the Needle" — squeezing through a narrow gap and scrambling up a sheer pinnacle of rock. Will I be able to overcome my fear of heights and complete the climb? Or will the daunting exposure prove too much?
