The Cobbler (Ben Arthur) - Threading the Needle in the Arrochar Alps

The Cobbler, aka Ben Arthur is one of the most popular mountains in the Scottish Highlands. It's a one-hour drive from Glasgow, making is easily accessible and quite a fun hike on a good day! It's known as The Cobbler due to its resemblance to a cobbler bending over his last. A cobbler's last is a mechanical, foot-shaped form used by shoemakers and cobblers as a mould to build, shape, or repair footwear (I had to Google that one!) This is a Corbett we've climbed before, but still a lot of fun, even if it is a little busy on public holidays. 📝 Hike Report: https://scottishadventures.co.uk/corb... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- About Us Two hikers and adventurers based in Scotland with our two dogs, travelling into the Scottish Highlands and around Europe in our Campervan.
