Ein Stück Japan mitten in Wien - Der Setagayapark in Döbling | Ramis Wiener Eckerl
In the heart of Vienna's 19th district lies a little piece of Japan: Setagaya Park in Döbling. In this video, we'll explore why there's a Japanese garden here, what the park has to do with the friendship between Döbling and Setagaya in Tokyo, and what special details you can discover: from the Furomon stone to the bridge and teahouse, all the way to the significance of the cherry blossoms. Setagaya Park isn't huge, but it's full of symbolism, tranquility, and little surprises. A place where Vienna suddenly feels a bit like Japan. For copyright reasons, I'm not showing a photo of the landscape architect Ken Nakajima in the video. If you'd like to see an archived image, you can find it at the Archives de la Ville de Montréal under the reference number: VM94-J0663-004.
