We spent 6 nights and 7 days traveling around Spain over the New Year holidays 🇪🇸 It was a relaxed itinerary: 2 nights in Barcelona, 2 nights in Tarragona, and another 2 nights back in Barcelona. The weather wasn’t ideal during the first half of the trip, but thanks to that, we didn’t overpack our schedule and were able to enjoy slow walks around the cities. From the Sagrada Família and Gaudí’s architecture in Barcelona, to the calm atmosphere of Tarragona, where ancient ruins and the sea coexist so closely, every place had its own unique charm. We welcomed the New Year by watching the countdown at Plaça d’Espanya from our hotel rooftop. Fireworks were launched incredibly close, making it a powerful and unforgettable moment. One of the highlights of this trip was staying at the Majestic Hotel in Barcelona, which I had long dreamed of visiting. I couldn’t stop admiring the view from the terrace overlooking Passeig de Gràcia, and I was especially happy to see Casa Batlló right from our room. Although it was too cold this time, I imagine that in warmer seasons, taking out food from nearby department stores and enjoying it on the terrace would be absolutely perfect.
