Fixing up a crash damaged Crosstrek

I bought this Subaru Crosstrek sight unseen up here in Alaska, which is always a gamble. When I picked it up, the front end told the whole story - something immovable won that fight, and won badly. The damage was bad enough that whatever it hit didn't move an inch. The engine block had cracked in the crash, which I didn't fully realize until I got it running for about thirty seconds and watched my hopes leave with the oil. At that point it was obvious the engine was done, so rather than waste time fixing a ruined engine, I pulled it and sourced a replacement. While the front was already torn apart, I went ahead and fixed everything else. It went from looking like a total disaster to something that actually resembles a car again. Whether the auction price still makes sense after all that is a separate conversation. And, if you'd like to learn to paint like I did in the video, i've put a little community together over on Skool.com, called Make it Match. Hope to see you over there. https://www.skool.com/makeitmatch/about
