Why The Allies gave up on Bombing of the V-1 Ski sites - “Operation Crossbow” -Deep Dive Review

The allies expended large bombing resources in destroying the German V-1 launch sites. The Germans responded by camouflaging their sites, erecting decoy sites and dispersing their sites. This made bombing attacks less effective. By Aug. 1944, the allies all but gave up on attacking the V-1 launching sites.
