Making Excuses

The plaintiffs say they paid the defendant to replace their roof, and here they are a year later with no new roof. They claim the defendant is a scammer and are suing for a refund. The defendant says it was a very bad summer, weather-wise, it rained and rained and rained. Then winter hit, and it snowed and snowed and snowed. He says he obviously needs dry days to remove and reinstall the roof. He claims he purchased all the supplies and is ready, willing, and able to complete the job.
