The eviction of a house on Jalan Irian Jaya, Potulando Subdistrict, Ende Regency, on Monday (May 4, 2026), is believed to have stemmed from an old claim to a plot of land now considered an asset of the Ende Regency Government. However, the victim's family has questioned the change in claim, as before becoming regent, Yosef Benediktus Badeoda, also known as Tote Badeoda, had claimed the land belonged to his father.
