Searching for Wildflowers in Death Valley, Day 3

This was day 3 of our 3-day trip searching for wildflowers in Death Valley as we returned home. Rather than taking the fast route home via Mojave and Tehachapi, we decided to cross the mountains, past Lake Isabella, toward Bakersfield. We drove along California State Route 178, hoping that there would still be wildflowers in the higher elevations. We weren’t disappointed as we saw hillsides covered with goldfield flowers. I flew my drone and almost lost it when I lost connection. Fortunately, being a good drone, it decided to come back.
