Walk of Honor for Ashley

Ashley, 6, had a chronic condition. When it was clear that she would not survive, her family decided to donate little Ashley's organs to help others. Staff from Salah Foundation Children's Hospital and Broward Health Medical Center paused to honor Ashley as she was wheeled into surgery. More than 2,000 children are waiting for an organ transplant and over 500 are younger than 6 years old, according to the Organ Procurement and Transplantation Network.
