Eleanor Rose Knapp honor walk

Written by Allen and Amanda Knapp The 4th of July has a much different meaning for us this year. It is the marking of one year since Ellie became a hero. Through organ donation she was able to give a baby boy a new heart, and an older gentleman new kidneys. We thank Deputy Grant, the Springfield Twp Fire/EMS, St Ann's ER, Life flight, and the doctors and nurses of St V's Children's ICU. We would also would like to thank Life connection of Ohio and Donate Life, for they are the ones that match the organ recipients. Rather than focusing on how much this week sucks, because it does, we are focusing on the silver lining. These photos are rough, but we want to show how special an honor walk is, as our everyday heroes escort our little hero to the OR. Today we remember and celebrate Miss Eleanor Rose. We love you, and miss you!
