Bouddi Coastal Walk (Putty Beach to Maitland Bay) Top Rated Day Walk in Central Coast NSW #hiking

We went for a 2 day camping at Putty Beach Campground and did the beautiful Bouddi Coastal Walk. It’s a 8km walk that begins from Putty Beach to MacMasters Beach. It also can be broken into shorter walks: Putty Beach to Maitland Bay (3km) Maitland Bay to Little Beach (3.5km) Little Beach to MacMasters Beach (1.7km) We opted for the Putty Beach to Maitland Bay return walk since we were camping at Putty Beach Campground. The sweeping and wide open ocean views are truly stunning. I never get tired of watching the waves crashing against the bottom of the cliff. There’s also a stretch of shady and calming rainforest to walk through. Moreover this is not a difficult walk and with little elevation to climb. The highlights of the walk for us was walking on the boardwalk along the edge of the cliff with stunning ocean views and having a picnic lunch at Maitland Bay beach. Maitland Bay is a relatively calm beach which is perfect for swimming and relaxing. After returning from the walk, we finished off the day swimming and watching sunset at Putty Beach.
