I Put Amazon Suspension On My REAL SS396… Did I Ruin It?

Did I just ruin a REAL 1968 Chevelle SS396? In this episode of Floyd’s Speed Shop, the freshly powder-coated chassis finally starts going back together. We install suspension components, brakes, steering parts, and Viking coilovers as this forgotten Chevelle takes another major step toward becoming a complete rolling chassis. Here’s where things get controversial… Many of the suspension components came from Amazon and Speedway Motors, while the coilovers are premium Viking units. Some builders believe every component should be American-made. Others believe budget-friendly parts can perform just fine when used correctly. So which side are you on? Would you trust Chinese-made suspension parts on your project car? We also reveal the drivetrain that will power this Chevelle—and let’s just say the purists probably aren’t going to be happy.
