El Buen Pastor como segundo Adán en ejercicio

In the previous video, we saw that Adam received dominion over creation in Genesis 1:28 and lost it in the Fall. Creation was subjected to futility—Romans 8:20—and groans in the pains of childbirth, awaiting the revealing of the sons of God. But Christ reclaimed what Adam lost with an infinitely superior title. Matthew 28:18—"All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me." It has already been given. Ephesians 1:20-22—"He is seated far above all rule and authority, with all things under his feet." Philippians 2:9-11—"He has been exalted to the highest place, and every knee will bow." And 1 Corinthians 15:25-26—"He now reigns until the last enemy, death, is destroyed." Christ's dominion is not the restoration of Eden but the overcoming of Eden. But if Christ already has all authority and is already seated at the right hand of God, how does he exercise that dominion now in a world that is still fallen? Because we look around and see death, sickness, sin, injustice. If He is already King, where is He seen? Scripture's answer is that Christ exercises His dominion now as Shepherd. Not as a distant king sitting on a faraway throne, but as a shepherd who walks with His sheep through the valley of the shadow of death.
