La circuncisión es señal de lo que ya ocurrió en el corazón

In the previous video, we saw that Abraham was justified by faith before circumcision—Genesis 15:6 before Genesis 17. Paul, in Romans 4:10, asks directly: Was it while circumcised or uncircumcised? And he answers unambiguously—while uncircumcised. The sequence was deliberately designed by God so that Abraham would be the father of all believers—circumcised and uncircumcised. Circumcision was a sign, not a cause—a seal of something that had already occurred. The promise was by faith so that it might be by grace, so that it might be firm for all his descendants. And Abraham's faith in the God who gives life to the dead is the same faith we have in the God who raised Christ from the dead. Now we need to look at something that Scripture teaches from Moses to Paul, and that many overlook. If external circumcision was a sign of something that had already occurred internally, what was it a sign of? What is it that happens internally that circumcision represented externally? The answer is the circumcision of the heart. And this isn't a concept from the New Testament. It's in Deuteronomy. Moses already knew it.
