April 1941 School of Prophets KC, MO

This is a brief glimpse into a school of the prophet's meeting held in Kansas City, Missouri in April of 1941. Most of the footage is from either Reva or Cornelius Mears using a 16mm camera to film some of the ministers and saints as they were leaving. I threw a couple of photos in the mix just to give some visuals to go along with the audio. The sound is from the same meeting when Reva took his disc recorder into the basement of a nearby dining hall where all the saints were prepared to eat. While standing in line he asked Bro. Sowders to say a few words and Bro. Lynn Johnson to play "Come And Dine". This recording predates any wire recording that I have found by about 5 or 6 years. The acetone discs used later became known as records and can be played on a record player at 78 rpm speed. If you know any additional names of those pictured here please feel free to email me.
