EXPLORING ANCIENT STABIAE

Ancient Stabiae was a city, like Pompeii and Herculaneum, destroyed by Vesuvius' eruption in AD 79. Like Pompeii and Herculaneum, Stabiae uniquely preserves Roman buildings, in particular a series of seaside villas, adjacent to the town, still largely to be excavated. Travel down to Campania with Darius to explore the sites, led by friend and archaeologist, Paolo Gardelli (long-time collaborator with Restoring Ancient Stabiae foundation), and to learn about the efforts to study and preserve these precious sites. Rome is an exciting place that continually stimulates you to look back into its rich history and tease out new stories, gaining new insights. The "Living history show" is a collaboration between Darius Arya and filmmaker Martin Wetherill, whom you can you find at: twitter.com/filmimageslife instagram.com/filmimageslife In four episodes we cover: 1. the Pantheon and the surrounding neighborhood 2.
