Now I'll be honest, I don't know much about Suspect yet, but I've seen a ton of y'all heavily requesting me to react to him. And this song alone already has nearly 2 million views! So I know he's got to be cold on the mic! I'm hype to experience the bars. Okay first reaction - this beat is straight up menacing! Those eerie piano melodies alongside the hard hitting 808's set a dark, grim vibe right from the jump. And Suspect's deep, laidback flow paired so nicely with this drill production. His delivery and cadence is on point. The music video itself matched the haunting vibe of the song perfectly too. Seeing Suspect posted up with the ski masks and chilling with his crew brings some serious energy. I love seeing rappers stunting and shining in their element like this! Cold vibes. And you already know the bars are elite level! Suspect was talking his talk with conviction and I was hanging onto every single word. His vocabulary, wordplay and lyricism had me rewinding constantly to catch all the hidden meanings. Serious talent here! I also love how Suspect weaved the Covid theme into his bars - super creative and timely concept that he executed flawlessly. The way he correlated confining rhymes to confining times was dope. His storytelling skills are apparent. By the end, I was fully immersed in Suspect's raw, authentic sound and artistry! From the haunting drill instrumental, to the slick bars, to the cold aesthetics, "Covid" bumps front to back. Suspect clearly has crazy potential - I'm excited to react to more of his music!
