We're kicking off a very special miniseries by heading to Portugal to conquer one of Europe's most famous roads: the legendary N222, considered by many to be the best road in the world to drive. In this first episode, we set off from the pristine nature of the Ermo das Águias Rewilding Centre and make our way towards the official start of the N222 in Almendra. Along the way, we take out the drone to explore history at the spectacular Numão Castle and peer over the abyss at one of the most breathtaking viewpoints in the Douro Valley: the Miradouro de São Salvador do Mundo. The views will leave you speechless! And since it's not all about asphalt, we end the day in São João da Pesqueira, spending the night and treating ourselves to a delicious meal at Tasquinha da Praça.
