SIMA PERÚ inauguró la modernización del Taller de Construcciones Navales X-40

SIMA PERÚ inaugurated the modernization of the X-40 Naval Construction Workshop in Callao, a strategic infrastructure for the fabrication, assembly, and repair of metal structures for shipbuilding. The ceremony was led by the Minister of Defense, Amadeo Javier Flores Carcagno, along with authorities from the Peruvian Navy, FONAFE (National Fund for State Shipbuilding), and SIMA PERÚ. The X-40 Workshop will be key for the construction of patrol boats, tugboats, logistics vessels, ocean patrol vessels, frigates, and the future HDS-1500 submarines, developed in cooperation with the South Korean company HD Hyundai Heavy Industries. With this modernization, SIMA PERÚ strengthens the national shipbuilding industry, promotes technology transfer, and consolidates its position as one of the leading shipyards in Latin America.
