A Fife Day to Travel (10th March 2020)

A Fife Day to Travel takes Simon back into England to visit Berwick-upon-Tweed and a few stations in the Fife. The journey starts at Stirling on the 0710 service to Edinburgh Waverley which was worked by a Abellio ScotRail Class 385 EMU. Once at Edinburgh Waverley, Simon changes trains to board the 0808 CrossCountry Service to Berwick-upon-Tweed which was worked by CrossCountry Trains Class 43 HSTs. Once at Berwick-upon-Tweed, we see London North Eastern Railway Azumas, TransPennine Express Class 802 and even a GB Railfreight Class 66 on a freight train heading towards Fort William and even seeing the Royal Border Bridge and Border Lass, the model locomotive After leaving Berwick-upon-Tweed, Simon heads back into Scotland to Edinburgh Waverley and took a Abellio ScotRail Class 43 HST to Leuchars to film trains ether from Aberdeen to Edinburgh Waverley or Arbraoth to Edinburgh Waverley but after some filming incuding a trip to visit Leuchars Old Station. Simon caught a bus using his Spirit of Scotland Rover Ticket to St Andrews to visit the site of the former St. Andrews Station. But honestly there wasn't much left and Simon caught a bus back to Leuchars to take a train to the next Station, Cupar which was a nice station but only filmed 5 trains passing through. After Cupar, Simon took another train to Ladybank which was a wonderful Station and could see trains a mile away! also get Class 158 DMUs working services to Perth. After Ladybank, Simon travelled to Kirkcaldy to film some trains and wait for the 1832 service to Edinburgh Waverley which was worked by Class 68, 68007 but Simon took this service as far as Edinburgh Haymarket to catch the London North Eastern Railway 1W22 London Kings Cross to Stirling service which was worked by Class 91, 91126! and once at Stirling it was time to end the show. filmed 10th March 2020 and this was filmed before the lockdown in the UK. please do not travel as it only for essential key workers at the moment.
