In Zhytomyr, Lyceum No. 12 became the first lyceum in the city, which in 2024 was included in the number of 30 educational institutions of Ukraine that became pre-pilot institutions in the reform of the senior profile school. In 2026, 3 academic lyceums of Zhytomyr began recruiting students to the senior profile school. As of June 2026, the 12th lyceum of Zhytomyr has already recruited students for a three-year (pilot) training program. This program is designed for 9th grade graduates who studied under the NUSh program. Education is divided into a profile-adaptive cycle: 10th grade and directly profile - grades 11-12.
