Making homemade Patha - a little bit of work but in the end tasted better than ready made!

Hi all Today we decided to show you how to patha from scratch. We have mentioned previously how the madumbe (taro) plant is so versatile and the entire plant can be utilised. One of the delicious uses for the leaves is of course to make Patha for puri patha. A little bit of a longer method but it turns out delicious at the end! One to give a shot if you have access to the taro leaves. Ingredients 10 -12 madumbe (taro) leaves 250g chillie bite mix 1 tbs mielie meal/maize meal 3 tbs flour 4 tbs imlee (tamarind) 1/2 cup water to dilute imlee 3 tbs sour milk/maas (or yoghurt) 1 tbs lemon juice 1 tbs vinegar 1 tsp fine salt 1 small onion, grated 1 small tomatoa grated 5 small cloves of garlic 3 green chillies Crush garlic and chillies together into a paste 1/2 tsp hurdee (tumeric) 1/2 tsp garam masala 1/2 tsp dhania (coriander) powder 1/2 tsp Jeera (Cumin) Powder My go to puri recipe:    • Making the fluffiest Durban Style Puri for...   You can shop our aprons here: https://www.tailorninaaprons.com/prod...
