Bell Ringing at Carfax Tower, Oxford

Carfax tower in Oxford, formerly known as St Martin's Church, but in 1896, the church was demolished due to making way for traffic. The tower houses a 15cwt peal of six all cast in 1676 by Richard Keene. Together, they form an unusual but deep and mellow sounding six, which I thought were really nice to hear. They are a little hard to ring, but I think the effort is worth it. Ringing here features a touch of Stedman Doubles followed by a lower of all six in peal! Enjoy!
