Alcamo, "gioca" a smontare e sostituire i cartelli stradali. Denunciato dai Carabinieri

ALCAMO, Tuesday, APRIL 28, 2026 - In Alcamo, widespread indiscipline, manifested by the failure of many drivers to comply with the Highway Code, is not enough, in a context that, among other things, still presents serious deficiencies in the maintenance of both horizontal and vertical road signs on many roads. Now, in fact, even those who "play" by dismantling and reassembling road signs are getting involved. This is precisely what the Carabinieri of the local Carabinieri Radiomobile Section were able to verify, and they have therefore reported a man from Alcamo to the Trapani Prosecutor's Office at large for the crime of failing to place or remove road signs. For days, the Carabinieri had been searching for an individual who, without specifying the reason, was dismantling and reassembling vertical road signs at night, thus causing confusion among road users who had already reported the incident. During a night patrol, the Carabinieri caught the man in the act of carrying out one of these interventions at the intersection of Viale Europa and the roundabout in Piazza Vittime Attentato di Nassiriya. He was replacing a stop sign with another, previously removed at another unidentified intersection, sign depicting "Give Way." At the time, the man was also found in possession of a ladder and other equipment necessary for dismantling and reassembling road signs.
