Ride a Blackpool beauty!

Join me for a night time ride on the beautifully restored Marton Vambac tram car 11 at the East Anglian Transport Museum at Carlton Coalville. First, we see the car passing by on the short section of track where trams run alongside trolleybuses at the EATM. Then, join me aboard a busy car, as we ride two ways along the track, with lovely vintage sounds. A magnificent 1930s Blackpool tramcar, with centre entrance, completely restored as-new, with original front and rear styling and luxury green moquette seating. Only two trams have Vambac electrical control gear (the other, Coronation car 304). This car was withdrawn way back in 1963 and after a failed plan to operate it at Hayling Island, EATM bought it in 1969. Used between 1978 and 1984, its Vambac electrical equipment was overhauled in 2004 and bodywork restoration was undertaken between 1997 and 2005. A truly superb tramcar, magnificently restored by EATM. Enjoy the night time ride aboard!
