How to create a swatch journal for painted papers /How to Turn an Old Book in a Art Piece

In today’s session, I’m slowing down to create something purely for the love of color and texture. I’ve transformed an old book into a "personal museum" for my handmade, hand-painted paper collection. Using a little white paint and instant coffee to soften the original text, I’m curating a collection of my favorite offcuts and altered papers. This isn't a journal to write in—it’s a visual "coffee table book" that I can flip through whenever I need a little bit of inspiration or calm. It’s the perfect, palm-sized project for anyone who loves paper arts and wants a beautiful way to store and enjoy their supplies. I hope this inspires you to look at your scrap pile differently and find a home for your beautiful paper creations. Let’s sit down, flip through some pages, and enjoy the beauty of handmade paper together. What do you do with your leftover painted papers? Let me know in the comments!
