More Negative Painting Over Collage! Covering Layers Yields Awesome Results!

061 In today’s video I continue learning the wicked fun art form of negative painting. This work in my giant vintage Reader’s Digest map book began months ago with random sections of digital papers - which I eventually embellished with paint. As if that was not enough chaos, I added even more layers of paper before sketching out really rough, really alien flowers over the entire surface. Then, I pulled out my Home Depot Behr Ultra Pure White ACRYLIC paint (yes, that’s a thing) and painted around those wonky flowers. The last stage was adding color with my newly acquired Ohuhu Honolulu alcohol markers. The entire thing evolved over several weeks and I’m so glad I stuck to it - because I considered abandoning it several times. Link to the digital papers below.
