In this episode, I'll tell you about what I believe is the largest Thai barbecue restaurant – mukata. This type of food is also called a buffet. This huge cafe is located near the tourist area and literally 500 meters from the shore of the Gulf of Thailand in Pattaya. Mukata (หมูกระทะ) consists of moo (pork) and krata (frying pan). Mukata is a meal for a small group of friends, who can sit around the table for several hours. While in Thailand, many have seen, and some have even visited, such buffets. It's not very difficult to recognize such an establishment. A distinctive feature is pots of hot coals on the table and a vessel very reminiscent of a hat with a brim. Mukata buffets usually occupy large spaces and have many tables. They are not located indoors, but simply under a roof, have no air conditioning, only fans, and open in the evening. Of course, there are smaller establishments at markets or fairs. They differ in both prices and, of course, in the selection of food available. We chose one of the largest buffets in Pattaya. It is located practically in the tourist area, literally 300 meters from the sea.
