Using about 3,300 photographs taken from the International Space Station by Chris Williams last June 4, we created this #timelapse. This is a flyover of the #ISS from California to Newfoundland. Throughout the entire journey (mostly over the United States), sunlight reflecting off bodies of water makes oceans, lakes and rivers shimmer brilliantly. Despite the cloud cover, it's possible to spot several surface details through the gaps; particularly striking is the pass over the American Great Lakes. The video covers a 27 minutes time span and is therefore sped up about 7 times compared to the actual speed of the Station. ---------------- The AstronautiCAST YouTube channel is run by passionate volunteers on an unpaid basis.
