Using about 10,000 photographs taken from the International Space Station by Chris Williams last May 26, we created this #timelapse. In this captivating sequence, we will travel alongside the #ISS for almost a complete orbit. The initial daytime portion features a flyover of northern Europe, starting from Ireland. The nighttime portion will reveal India and Indonesia, lit up by hundreds of lightning flashes. The Station will return to daylight after crossing Australia: as always, the sunrise will be preceded by the reflections of countless low Earth orbit satellites flickering along the horizon. The video covers a 84 minutes time span and is therefore sped up about 10 times compared to the actual speed of the Station. ---------------- The AstronautiCAST YouTube channel is run by passionate volunteers on an unpaid basis.
