#18thCentury Historical Costuming | Making a #Casaquin (short jacket) | Part 1
I'm back in the 18th century with a new project! Watch as I problem solve, pattern and fit an18th century casaquin, which is basically a bodice with a short skirt (kind of a #peplum) added to the bottom. I used American Duchess's pattern hacks, found here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B5Ro... I also referenced Patterns of Fashion 1, item #13. That book is available from The School of Historical Dress, and I highly recommend it for historical costumers: http://theschoolofhistoricaldress.org... This is a 2-part video series. Be sure to watch the second video! Don't miss it! Subscribe now, and follow me on Instagram (@crmarble) for updates.
