Dozens of fully armed personnel from the Indonesian National Police Mobile Brigade Corps (Brimob) were on standby at the Jakarta Metro Police Headquarters in Jakarta on Friday (July 10, 2026). Tribunnews observed that Brimob personnel were lined up neatly at several points, carrying long-barreled weapons. Several tactical vehicles were also stationed around the location as part of the security measures. This tight security was in place ahead of a press conference by the National Police's Corruption Crimes Directorate (Kortas Tipidkor), scheduled for 7:00 PM WIB (Western Indonesian Time). The press conference will outline the progress of the investigation into three major corruption cases currently under public scrutiny. The three cases involve alleged corruption in a coal-fired power plant (PLTU) project, an investment case involving PT Asabri (Persero), and alleged corruption within PT Krakatau Steel. As the press conference approached, security forces continued to sterilize and secure the building to ensure the entire event proceeded safely and conducively. From a distance, officers could be seen milling about in preparation for the press conference. Evidence to be displayed to the public was being arranged in a prepared area. At least 11 containers and two suitcases of searched evidence were also prepared for display at the press conference. Multi-layered security was observed in place around the Attorney General's Office (AGO) building in Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, on Friday (July 10, 2026) at around 12:00 PM Western Indonesian Time. According to Tribunnews, several Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) personnel in full uniform, along with tactical combat vehicles, were deployed to tightly guard the Attorney General's Corps headquarters, from the outside to the inside of the complex. This measure followed searches of 13 locations related to alleged corruption involving PLN, Asabri, and Krakatau Steel. Special Crimes Director Febrie Adriansyah denied any involvement in the discovery of money at his private home.
