New Megachargers, Adv Tech Foundation, Factory Wall Removal. 8 July 2026 Giga Texas Update (7:25 AM)

Gigafactory Texas! This is where Model Y’s, and Cybertruck production happens and in 2025, the Next Generation Car(s), Cortex 1 & 2, Cybercab & the Optimus Robot! Great day to fly with plenty to see! The drone flight was wide-ranging, from the Optimus factory on the far north to the Test Track on the far southwest and foundation preparation work and grading for the Advanced Chip Fab on the far east of the site. Timestamps: Drone flight overview with discussion & illustration: 0:06 to 4:26 Drone flight footage & infographics: 4:49 to 34:07 In the video introduction, we talk about the new 2025 Tesal Impact Report and some of the specific details about the Cybercab production process that are important to Giga Texas. Tesla confirms Reaction Injection Molding (RIM) is the process used to make the gold exterior panels and that the method they use reduced Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) completely. I did an article about the RIM process and posted on X. This article is titled “Thermoplastic Injection Molding vs. Reaction Injection Molding ... Tesla's Cybercab Innovation” where I use illustrations, images and background information to describe what is different and how the process works. Also, I discuss the recycling capabilities of these thermoset plastic body parts and how this differs from a similar Thermoplastic Injection Molding (PIM) process. Also related to this is the near complete elimination of the need for a massive Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer (RTO) system normally used in paint processes to remove VOCs. Without having to paint the Cybercab body panels (and also the Cybertruck Stainless Steel body panels), the ROT system installed in the “:Highbay” part of Giga Texas is very small. Some additional highlights from the drone flight today: The test track getting a long lane of rough “cobble stone” sections for Noise Vibration and Harshness (NVH) testing and active noise system calibration work on at least Cybercabs but probably other models too. At the east Advanced Chip Fab foundation site, we see plenty of ground preparation work and excavation that might be starting to show the outline of the foundation, and this will give us a better idea of the final size of the facility. All we have right now is a partial rendering but without dimensions so it is likely the first indication we will have is the ground prep work. On the north end of the site, the Optimus factory is growing large enough to be noticeable from almost everywhere around the larger Giga Texas property. Steel assembly continues to grow ever larger and is now 7 column spaces wide (north to south) and still has room to grow to the eventual full width. The River Rd extension has now reached all the way to the “Lone Tree” field, with another section of drainage pipe installation nearly complete under the road surface. The main factory eastside large wall opening has white plastic and red tape closing in the temporary gap where the concrete wall panels and glass removed, while crews on the ground have removed the receiving dock concrete and are cutting out sections of the concrete apron. & receiving dock reconfiguration, many Cybercabs, Model Y’s & some Cybertruck in the outbound lot. Check it out! We also see more Cybercabs with the “Cybercab” logos lined up in front of the main factory along with many more in the outbound lot and at the test track today. It appears like Giga Texas is expanding the Megacharger site just north of the End-of-Line (EOL) facility for more Tesla Semi trucks, probably the refreshed versions, that will be working in and around the outbound lot!
