Land Rover Series 3 Restoration - Completing the Gearbox Rebuild Pt. 20
After many months of hard work, the main gearbox is finally complete. In this video I discover that the synchromesh can only be installed in a specific orientation and that home made gaskets also work! I also mount the gearbox to the engine for the final time. PS. I noticed that I mention two different torque settings for the main shaft rear castle nut. I tightened mine to 85 ft lbs. Some people even say 100 ft lbs. Thanks for watching and I hope you enjoy the video.
