Tumore del polmone: Aifa approva durvalumab in 2 nuove indicazioni

The Italian Medicines Agency (AIFA) approves durvalumab for two different types of lung cancer. Immunotherapy, both before and after surgery (perioperative regimen), changes the standard of care for early-stage non-small cell lung cancer (IIA-IIIB). The new approach significantly improves survival, with a significant reduction in the risk of recurrence. And, for the first time in over 40 years, durvalumab has led to advances in systemic therapy for limited-stage small cell lung cancer (small cell lung cancer), improving overall survival by nearly two years.
