The Second Battle of Konodai (1564, Eiroku 7) occurred when forces including Uesugi Kenshin, Ota Sukemasa, and Satomi Yoshitaka allied against Hojo Ujiyasu. In December 1563 (Eiroku 6), Satomi Yoshihiro, the eldest son of Satomi Yoshitaka, was the first to deploy at Konodai. Next, Ota Sukemasa also arrived at Konodai. Hojo Ujiyasu attacked the combined forces of Satomi and Ota, resulting in a fierce battle. Many military chronicles compiled from the mid-Edo period onwards, such as the "Hojo-ki," "Kanhasshu Kosen-roku," and "Boso Satomi-shi," state that the battle took place over two days, from January 7th to 8th, but the "Hojo Godaiki" states that it took place on January 8th, a single day.
