Bennie and Jerry Bear: Black on White_031613
Bennie and Jerry Bear, orphaned black bear cubs, arrived at Appalachian Bear Rescue on March 1, 2013. They're doing very well, gaining weight, and improving their coordination. Bennie and Jerry will stay with us until they're big enough to be released back to the wild. If all goes well, we'll be saying goodbye to them in the late fall of 2013. Appalachian Bear Rescue (ABR), located just outside the Great Smoky Mountains National Park near Townsend, Tennessee, is a one-of-a-kind rehabilitation center for orphaned and injured black bear cubs.
