aptain Holly Weaver received her direct commission in September 2012 after being accepted into the Army Nurse Candidate Program while in nursing school. She completed the AMEDD Officer Basic Course at Fort Sam Houston. Captain Weaver is currently the OIC for the Physician Recruiting Team and Nurse Recruiter at the Kansas City Medical Recruiting Station in Overland Park, Kansas. Captain Weaver’s assignments include health care recruiter for the Kansas City MRS, 5BN, MRB; Company Commander, Medical Company Fort Leavenworth, KS; Clinical Nurse Officer in Charge, Primary Care Clinic and Officer in Charge Exceptional Family Member Program, Fort Leavenworth, KS; Staff and Charge Nurse, Labor and Delivery, Irwin Army Community Hospital, Fort Riley, KS; Staff and Charge Nurse, Medical Surgical unit, San Antonio Military Medical Center; Fort Sam, TX. Captain Weaver’s military education includes the AMEDD Officer Basic and Advanced Courses; Health Care Recruiting Officer in Charge Course; Health Care Recruiting Course; Pregnancy Postpartum P3 course; Company Commander and First Sergeant Pre-command course; Clinical Nurse OIC and NCOIC Leader Development Course; Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Training Course; Colonel CJ Reddy Leadership Course; SHARP certification course; Basic Health Care Administration Course Captain Weaver earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing with a minor in Health from Graceland University in January 2012 and is currently pursuing her Master of Arts in Executive Leadership through Liberty University. Captain Weaver’s awards and military decorations include Meritorious Service Medal; Army Commendation Medal (1 OLC); Army Achievement Medal (1 OLC); National Defense Service Medal; Global War on Terrorism Service Medal; Army Service Ribbon Captain Weaver is married to David Weaver, SWAT team and EOD Officer for the Kansas City, Kansas Police Department and has two daughters Shannon (4) and Penelope (2). Captain Weaver is an active volunteer at her church, in the Junior League of Kansas City and serves on the board of directors at her alma mater, Graceland University. For leisure Captain Weaver hosts a book club, and enjoys traveling, exercising, and making memories with her family and friends.
