On the morning of Wednesday, June 3, 2026, two minibuses, a small truck, two compact cars, and a pickup truck were struck by a semi-trailer carrying dirt. The accident occurred on the Apizaco-Tlaxcala highway, near Tizatlán, heading towards the city of Tlaxcala. Despite the magnitude of the accident, no serious injuries were reported; however, several of those involved suffered nervous breakdowns. According to initial reports, some vehicles were practically stopped on this important thoroughfare when the semi-trailer hit them, causing the small truck to overturn onto its left side. The semi-trailer then came to a stop after colliding with the rear of an ATAH company minibus and another minibus used for transporting personnel. Paramedics arrived at the scene to attend to the victims, as well as National Guard personnel to secure the area.
