Paddling from Maliko Gulch to Kahului Harbor (aka Maliko downwind), Hurricane OC1, Iako Incident

I have this posted on Instagram but I know some people don't use that social media platform and I wanted the link to be more easily available. Here it is, a video capturing the events of a memory I usually bring up starting something like this... "remember that time my iako fell off my canoe out in the middle of the ocean?"... followed by shared smiles, recounts, laughter, and head shaking and me in the moment, as if it had just happened again, with the low hum of exhilaration my spine stirs in the remembering what this moment was like. ACTION. A moment in time that I cannot believe happened, that I'm pretty proud of myself for immediately problem solving through, staying calm (pardon the curse word), taking care, and moving on.
