Trailpartie #2 2022 - a knackige Partie

The Austrian LINES MTB Magazine together with the club Do-Bikers called and roughly 150 excited mountainbikers returned the call and turned the second "Trailpartie" in Bruck an der Mur into a downright mini mountainbike festival. The event took place around and on the newly opened Trails "SchweizUNeben" and "s'Zuckerl". The "Trailpartie" (a "partie" in Austrian can be used to describe a bunch of people having a good time together, it does not so much refer to a "party" as an event ;-) ) ist the most casual, most relaxed and greatest series of mountainbike-events in the alps. Enduro in a fun-format for everybody who (actually) never wanted to race until they wanted. That's how the organizers describe the event themselves and I can subscribe to that after my second participation in a trailpartie. The event is indeed organized in a very relaxed way. Schedules and start times only give a rough orientation you are under no stress to get to the start of the next stage. But still the track is demanding enough if you ride it at your personal race speed. And since coincidentally there's a timekeeping you'll feel some race fever as well. Al in all the atmosphere is fantastic, it's a cosy event. I ended up in 13th position in the category over 40 years, which I was actually pretty happy about, cause I only had a bout 4 days on the bike so far this year, and I crashed after a few corners on stage one after a piece of tape made a root even more slippery as it already was. There will be three more trailpartien this year. One in May on the Josiberg, the other two will be announced soon and will take place in October. Thanks again to everybody who helped in making this event possible and helped organizing. It was great fun being there and I am looking forward to the next "partie" on Josiberg! 0:00 ...
